Palladio 'Crushed' Shadows + EOTD

Hello and Welcome to Saving Face Beauty!

I stumbled onto these Palladio 'Crushed' Metallic shadows in a new product display at Ulta and was kind of shocked.

About Palladio

I remember the days when emilynoel83 from Beauty Broadcast would sing the praises of certain Palladio products including the Oil Absorbing Rice Paper Tissues as well as the Oil Absorbing Rice Paper Powder.

As long as I've known of this brand's existence (about 4-5 years) I don't recall them ever releasing anything new, and definitely nothing exciting. If you look at Palladio's line up you might notice that nearly everything about their products and their packaging is outdated. It's nice to see them release a product that's not only new, but relevant to what today's makeup enthusiast might be looking for: A mesmerizing selection of 10 "Crushed" metallic shadow singles in compact packaging that still has visual appeal at a reasonable price.

I honestly can't compare the formula to any other drugstore shadow I've ever tried. It feels like a pressed pigment, but is so much softer. The closest drugstore item I would be able to compare it to is the NYX Prismatic single shadows , but the Palladio version is even softer and the pigment richer.

The Eye Look

For the Eye look I laid down a shadow primer first (Urban Decay's original Primer Potion) and MAC paint pot in Layin' Low on top of that for a clean canvas. I took a tinted setting powder that matches my skin tone and applied it to the crease for a natural transition. From there I used a flat shadow brush to place Stellar all over the lid and define the outer 'V' with Supernova.

The Result:

These shadows are beautifully pigmented! I only got two to start because initially I wasn't sure if I'd like them for the reasons I mentioned previously, but they're stunning. I definitely need to pick up a couple of the brighter shades the next time I stop by Ulta.
