Hello and Welcome to Saving Face Beauty!
This is the first look in the Halloween version of Face of the Day Friday. The look was inspired by Charisma Star's take on Scar from the Lion King. Yumm...
To create the eye look I used Too Faced Shadow Insurance to prime the lid and NYX Tres Jolie Gel Pencil liner in Pitch Black to line the upper and lower lash line as well as using it to sketch out a cut crease. To fill in the lid I used Maybelline's Master Smoky jumbo pencil. I used a deep purple color to set the cream shadow on the lid as well as black to define the lash line and outline the wing. I used a fuchsia shade as a transition to blend out the crease. I used the same fuchsia shade in conjunction with a burgundy to smoke out the bottom lash line. I used Essence gel liner and Maybelline's Chaotic mascara. No falsies this time.
I used Cover Girl Outlast Stay Fabulous 3 in 1 foundation as the base and I actually used the Morphe Brow7 palette to contour my face as well as to define the brows. More on that palette in a later post. I started sketching out the actual scar using the Rimmel Scandal Eyes Kohl Kajal in Nude but for what ever reason it wasn't making the impact I was hoping it would so I switched to the Milani Shadow Eyez jumbo pencil in Almond Cream and finished sketching out the scar with an angled liner brush. To define the scar a little further I used on of the warmer brown shades form the Morphe Brow7 palette to define the edges on one side.
I used L'Oreal True Match blush in Spiced Plum and for the lips Boutique lip liner in Currant and Maybelline color sensational matte lipstick in Vibrant Violet.
Next week's FOTD will be...something. It's still in the works, but hopefully it'll pan out.
